Diwali Lights Placed in Temple Windows

Gurudev Swami Vishwananda gave Diwali Darshan last night at His Springen Spiritual Center on this year's lunar calendar day for the Diwali Festival of Lights. Next year’s Diwali 2010 date will fall within the lunar calendar on November 5. Gurudev gave a pre-Darshan talk relating to the necessity of controlling the mind of man on his way to enlightenment.

Swami said that man makes himself miserable and his life difficult unless he learns to control the mind. Conquering the mind is essential on the Bhakti Marga Path, the way of devotion to God and the Divine within, that Swami Vishwananda both follows and teaches
His devotees and disciples. After His talk, Swami Vishwananda guided everyone in a powerful meditation.
